Flash CMS: Introduction

Turtlebite Flash CMS Framework is a back end solution written in AS2. It uses PHP, XML and MySQL. Your front end website has to be in AS3.

How does it work?

Basically there are these steps:

  • Build your website any way you like (AS3).
  • Upload and test your site on the server.
  • Now you want some parts to be editable. Upload the Flash CMS framework to a folder on your server, let's say “cms”.
  • Pick out the parts of your website you want to be editable (text and images).
  • Prepare the back end for these parts in the Flash CMS.
  • Create the CMS menu for the user(s).
  • Connect your website to the Flash CMS.
  • Done! (OK, I know, this sounds simple and of course there are a few more steps to take in between, but this is basically the process of setting up the Flash CMS) :-D
